Final Electoral Roll for Kerala Local Body Elections Published: 2.87 Crore Voters Eligible

Thiruvananthapuram: The final electoral roll for the local body elections has been published. The list includes 2.87 crore voters (2,86,62,712). Among them are 1,35,16,923 men, 1,51,45,500 women, and 289 transgender voters. There are also 3,745 overseas voters in the list.

The final electoral roll published on October 25 had 2,84,30,761 voters. The State Election Commission had given two additional days for eligible voters who were not included in that list to add their names. Based on this, the total number of voters increased by 2,31,951. A total of 2,66,679 new names were added, while 34,745 names were removed.

The State Election Commission provided this additional opportunity to add names as per the Kerala Panchayat Raj and Municipality Acts. The electoral rolls are available for verification with the respective Electoral Registration Officers.
