UN Report: 137 Women Attacked Daily; One Woman Killed Every 10 Minutes by Someone They Know

NewYork: According to a report by UN, 137 women are attacked each day on an average by either their partners or family. As per a joint report by United Nations Office of Drug and Crime, and UN Women, a woman gets killed in every 10 minutes by people they know.

Last year, 83,000 women were premeditatedly murdered. Among them 50,000 were killed by someone close to them. Africa marks the highest rate in murdered women.
