Washington: US President Donald Trump has stated that the Strait of Hormuz will be reopened, one way or another. In a post on his social media platform, Truth, Trump mentioned that countries like the UK should send ships to secure the Strait of Hormuz.

He claimed that along with the US, countries like China, France, Japan, South Korea, and the UK would send warships to ensure the safety and reopening of the Strait. The US also asserted that Iran's military capability has been completely destroyed. However, the US fears that Iran could still carry out small-scale attacks using drones, mines, and short-range missiles.

Trump warned that the US military is preparing to carry out bomb attacks on Iranian shores and to defend against Iranian boats and ships in the sea. Trump emphasised that the main goal is to quickly make the maritime route through the Strait of Hormuz free and secure, and to restore trade traffic in the region without yielding to any country's threats.
