Crane Collapse in Thailand Kills 22, Injures Dozens; High-Speed Train Derails

Bangkok: At least 22 people have died and several others were injured after a crane collapsed onto a train in Thailand. The incident occurred in the morning during the construction of a high-speed rail line.

The accident took place in Sikhio District, about 230 kilometers from Bangkok. Following the crane’s fall, several train carriages derailed and caught fire, raising concerns that passengers may be trapped inside some compartments.

Authorities have confirmed that rescue operations are underway, with emergency teams working to evacuate and treat those affected.
