Taliban Drone Attack in Pakistan: Debris Falls, Four Injured

Islamabad: The army has foiled a series of drone attacks by the Afghan Taliban targeting various cities in Pakistan. The drones were loaded with explosives. Four civilians, including two children, were injured when debris from the drones fell on them. The debris fell in Quetta, Kohat, and Rawalpindi. Pakistan's military media wing, ISPR, stated that the Afghan Taliban aimed to spread fear among the public through the attacks. The army emphasised that Pakistan will continue its Operation Gazab lil Haq against the Afghan Taliban following the border attack. Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari has accused the Afghan Taliban of violating all lines of control, stating that targeting civilian areas is unacceptable. Relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan have been strained since the Taliban came to power in 2021.
