SFI -UK Shortlisted for UKCISA Global Community Award

London: The Students’ Federation of India UK (SFI-UK) has been shortlisted for the UK Council for International Student Affairs (UKCISA) Global Community Award. The organisation is among five finalists selected from more than 420 nominations this year.
The finalists in the category are: Students’ Federation of India UK, Erasmus Student Network UK, National Indian Students and Alumni Union UK, Vietnamese Student Society, Northampton Students’ Union, and the Life of Impact Volunteering Initiative at the University of Edinburgh.
Comrade Rakul Syam of SFI UK (Dundee University) has been nominated for Student of the Year award too.
The award honours international student-led organisations that take innovative steps to strengthen internationalisation and build inclusive communities on and off campus.
SFI- UK, which functions as the overseas chapter of the Students’ Federation of India, has been active in raising student issues, promoting equality, and organising programmes aimed at fostering cultural exchange and solidarity among students of diverse backgrounds.
Leaders of the organisation said the recognition reflects their sustained efforts to create a welcoming space for international students in the UK. The winners will be announced at the upcoming UKCISA annual conference.
