Middle East Conflict: UAE Responds to Iranian Missiles

Dubai: The UAE Ministry of Defense stated that its air defense systems are responding to missile and drone threats from Iran. Concerns continue amid the ongoing US-Israel joint military operations against Iran.
The situation worsened after Iran's main oil hub, Kharg, was attacked by the US. Iran had accused US military bases in Gulf countries of being used in the strike. Following this, Iran launched a counterattack on US bases in the region.
A fire broke out after drone attacks targeted oil processing facilities at the Port of Fujairah in the UAE. As a result, operations at the port were temporarily suspended.
Meanwhile, the General Civil Aviation Authority announced that UAE airspace was fully reopened as of the morning of Tuesday, March 17. The airport had been temporarily closed for seven hours following a drone attack on a fuel tank near the airport early Monday morning.
