West Bank: As tensions between Iran and Israel intensify, life is becoming increasingly difficult for the Palestinian people. The reality is that this conflict is also affecting rural areas in Palestine. As attacks on Iran escalate, atrocities committed by Israeli settlers against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank are rising.

Even as warplanes and missiles soar in the sky, the villagers in the West Bank fear the settlers more as they are armed and ready to destroy and kill. The restrictions imposed by the Israeli army have effectively given settlers the freedom to act against the Palestinian population in the occupied West Bank with impunity.

The Israeli army has closed the entrances to Palestinian villages in the West Bank with gates, leaving residents unable to leave even for medicine or food. Taking advantage of this situation, settlers forcibly entering villages is particularly alarming. They break into homes, destroy property, and beat women and children, a scene that has become all too common. Villagers complain that the Israeli army provides protection for these attacks.

Israeli settlers have attacked the elderly and children and have fatally wounded Palestinian men. Eyewitnesses and activists point out that the Israeli army has not intervened to stop these attacks or protect the Palestinian people. Many families are abandoning their centuries-old homes out of fear that continued attacks could cost them their lives.

Attackers continue to steal goats raised in the villages, destroy crops, and harass ordinary people. There is growing concern that, under the cover of war, there may be a deliberate attempt to ethnically cleanse the West Bank completely.
