India Issues Emergency Contact Numbers for Nationals in Nepal

Kathmandu: India on Tuesday released emergency contact numbers for its nationals in Nepal, urging them to reach out in case of any urgent situation or need for assistance.
“All Indian nationals in Nepal are requested to note the following telephone numbers of the Embassy of India, Kathmandu, for contact in case of emergency or requirement of assistance: +977-9808602881,
+977-9810326134,” the Embassy said in a post on X.
In a separate statement, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) advised Indian nationals to defer travel to Nepal in view of the prevailing situation.
“Indian citizens presently in Nepal are advised to remain in their current places of residence, avoid venturing out, and exercise utmost caution,” the MEA said.
It further urged Indian nationals to follow safety advisories issued by the Nepalese authorities as well as updates from the Embassy of India in Kathmandu.
