France Condemns US and Israel: Military Action Against Iran a Violation of International Law

Paris: France condemned the joint military attack by Israel and the United States against Iran. President Emmanuel Macron stated that such actions were outside the scope of international law and that France would not accept them.

He reiterated that a diplomatic solution should be pursued. French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot stated that the attack, carried out unilaterally without respecting international law, would have a significant impact on regional peace.

He emphasised that there should have been a discussion in the UN Security Council before the attack. He also pointed out that military operations carried out without the UN’s approval lack legal validity.

France has ordered the aircraft carrier 'Charles de Gaulle' to the Mediterranean Sea as tensions rise. This move is aimed at protecting allied countries from missile and drone attacks.

France also called for the urgent intervention of the international community to restore peace in the Middle East, amid protests spreading in various parts of the world, including Kashmir, following the assassination of Ayatollah Khamenei.
