China Warns Against U.S. Arms Facility the Philippines

Beijing: China has issued a strong warning against the U.S. actions to build weapons facilities in the Philippines. China warned the U.S. and its allies not to stir up conflict or instability that could lead to war in the Asia-Pacific region. Last week, the U.S. government agreed to fund defense groups within the U.S. to design and produce new weapons in the Philippines. The final decision on this matter was made by the 16 members of the Indo-Pacific Industrial Resilience.
China warned that weapon manufacturing would destabilise the region and could lead to strong retaliation. It stressed that the U.S. and its allies must respect the interests of neighboring countries. Chinese military spokesperson Lin Jian emphasized the need to avoid causing conflicts, tensions, and instability.
