Thiruvananthapuram: The city buzzed with extra excitement this year at the International Film Festival of Kerala, thanks to Kerala Savari’s special initiative, 'Cinema Savari.' Operated under the state labour department, Kerala Savari’s online taxi platform made travelling across the city effortless for cinephiles attending the festival.
As the official mobility partner of the festival, Kerala Savari ensured safe and seamless rides for movie lovers. A standout feature of Cinema Savari is its coverage of all major theatres hosting screenings, making it easier than ever for attendees to move between venues.
Festival- goers were particularly thrilled with the free rides offered between key venues such as Tagore Theatre, Nishagandhi, and Kairali-Sree. All taxis and autos under the initiative follow government-fixed rates, ensuring transparency and fairness. On-ground arrangements included clearly marked pick-up and drop-off points outside each theatre.
Visitors could simply scan the QR codes placed at theatre entrances to download the app and instantly book a ride. Organisers noted that film enthusiasts had already embraced the service with enthusiasm, making Cinema Savari a practical and welcome companion for a festival filled with cinematic magic.
