Pushpa 2 Premiere Stampede: Hyderabad Police Files Chargesheet, Allu Arjun Named Among 23 Accused

Hyderabad Police have filed a comprehensive chargesheet in connection with the stampede that occurred during the premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rule at Sandhya Theatre, an incident that resulted in the death of a woman and left her young son critically injured. The 100-page chargesheet names 23 accused, including theatre management, security staff and actor Allu Arjun, and places responsibility on the event organisers for failures in crowd control.

The chargesheet was submitted by the Chikkadpally Police. Police said the chaos erupted after a sudden surge of an extremely large crowd gathered for the film’s premiere, leading to the fatal incident.

Investigators cited serious lapses in planning and crowd management, while security personnel and other staff involved in the event have also been named in the document.

Actor Allu Arjun has been listed as Accused 11. Members of his personal staff and security team, along with representatives linked to the film’s production house, have also been included among the accused.

The case will move into the next legal phase as the court takes cognisance of the chargesheet and reviews the roles and responsibilities of those named in the incident.
