Asian School of Business Launches Three Exclusive Job-Oriented Degree Courses in Emerging Technologies

Thiruvananthapuram: The Asian School of Business (ASB) in Thiruvananthapuram, has officially launched three innovative undergraduate degree programs tailored to meet the rising demand for tech professionals in India. he announcement was made during a press conference held at Hotel Hycinth, Thiruvananthapuram, on April 23, 2025.
The new programs—BCA (Hons) in Data Science & AI, BBA (Hons) in Digital Marketing & E-commerce, and B. Com (Hons) in AI & FinTech—are offered under CUSAT and are fully aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. These 'Career Ready' UG programs aim to bridge the gap between academia and the evolving demands of the digital economy.
While speaking at the event, Dr. Krishna Kumar, Director of ASB, emphasized the importance of industry-relevant education. “Marketing is now digital, shopping is online, finance is tech-driven, and AI is everywhere,” He mentioned. “Traditional business degrees are failing to keep up with the AI era. There’s excessive theory and little practical exposure. We are changing that narrative”.
The curriculum integrates more than 20 hours of practical lab training per week, alongside EdTech (educational technology) tools that provide real-time tracking of student progress. Internships and assured placement support are also provided within the structure, ensuring that graduates leave not just with degrees, but with real-world skills.
