245 Grams of MDMA Seized from Car in Thrissur; Driver Arrested

Thrissur: Police seized 245.72 grams of MDMA from a car near Irinjalakuda on Tuesday and arrested the driver, Fahad, 32. The Thrissur Rural District Anti-Narcotic Special Action Force (DANSAF) conducted the operation and also took the vehicle into custody.

Thrissur Rural District Police Chief B. Krishnakumar had received confidential information that the drug was being transported in a red car from central Kerala. Acting on this tip-off, a DANSAF team engaged in security checks related to the upcoming local body elections was instructed to track down the vehicle.

During the search at Tanav near Irinjalakuda, the team found 245.72 grams of MDMA concealed inside a secret compartment in the car driven by Fahad, a resident of Kodungallur. Police also stated that Fahad had previously been booked at the Kodungallur police station for dangerously driving a car while under the influence.
