Thiruvananthapruam : Senior news journalist and Manorama’s former special correspondent, E Somnath, has died aged 58. He was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in the city after suffering stroke.
A nature lover, Somnath penned several coverages on environmental issues. His career with Malayala Manorama spanned 34 years, serving at the daily’s units in Kottayam, Idukki, Kannur, Kollam, Delhi and Thiruvananthapuram.
The funeral will be held at Shantikavadam crematorium later in the day.
