Kochi : In the case relating to bribe money collected by Adv. Saibi Jose on pretext of paying judge, the High Court on Monday clarified it will not interfere with natural course of justice. The ruling came over petition submitted by Saibi seeking to cancel FIR and his likely arrest in the case. The court asked the lawyer why he was afraid of investigations. The bribe money allegations are serious, let investigations happen, it added.
The court also asked Saibi why he had filed the petition right on next day after investigations began. The court asked government for its take on Adv Saibi's petition. The decision whether or not to admit the plea will come after viewing govt’s say, the court clarified. The govt informed court there was no impending arrest at this stage and that investigations are in progress.
