Israeli airstrike: 3 Journalists killed in Lebanon

Beirut > Three journalists were killed in an Israeli airstrike in Lebanon on Friday. The attack targeted guesthouses where journalists were staying in the Hezbollah-controlled southern Lebanon region. Many others were injured in the strike.

The Israeli airstrike occurred at around 3.30 am. The deceased include Gassan Najjar, a cameraman from the news channel Al Mayadeen, engineer Mohammed Redda, and Visam Kassem, a cameraman associated with Hezbollah’s Al-Manar. The Lebanese Information Minister stated that the attack was premeditated.

The attack struck guesthouses where 18 journalists from seven different media organizations, including Al Jazeera, Sky News Arabia, and TRT, were staying while reporting on the Israel-Hezbollah conflict in southern Lebanon. Reports indicate that 128 journalists have been killed in Gaza and Lebanon so far.
