Will Turn Up On Tractors, Maha Panchayat Warns Centre

New Delhi : The Maha Panchayat warned Centre it was ready for a confrontation on scale of farmers’ protest in order to ensure that protesting wrestlers get justice and BJP MP and former Wrestling Federation president Brij Bhushan is jailed  for sexual assaults.  The mammoth  meeting  held in UP’s Muzaffar Nagar also warned Centre they would turn up on tractors..

Khap representatives from Haryana, Western UP, Punjab and Rajasthan participated in the meeting. The final decision will likely be announced on Friday by the Khap - Kissan Maha Sabha that will meet again in Haryana’s Kurukshetra. All Khaps of northern States will attend the meeting.

If no action follows in the coming five days, we will stand firmly by whatever decisions the protesting wrestlers wish, said Bhartiya Kissan Union president Naresh Tikait.

On Thursday, the Samyukta Kissan Morcha, Samyukta Trade Union and women’s organisations took to streets demanding that the tainted Wrestling Federation president Brij Bhushan be arrested. They burnt the MP’s effigy and shot a petition to the President.
