New Delhi : The govt has dealt hard blow to workers on May Day too, said CPI(M) General Secretary Sitaram Yechury. The LPG hike is a direct hit at the country’s poor, said Yechury, speaking to the press conference after hoisting flag for May Day at AKG Bhavan, Sunday.
For seven years now, incessant upping of petroleum tax by Centre has been trigger for fuel costs spiraling. States do not benefit from this hikes. All of it goes to the Centre. The govt should become willing to lower its taxes.
Power crisis : The Centre is responsible for the power crisis faced by the country. The centre failed to make advance preparations for the summer season ahead. Just what was the govt doing up to now?, asked Yechury.
