Private Schools Should Not Charge Students For Facilities They Don't Avail

Thiruvananthapuram : Supreme Court reprimanded private schools over  unfair profit tactics. Schools must not charge students for facilities they do not avail, said the apex court on Monday.

Schools must give a concession of 15 percent on the annual fees, said the court, adding that, states have the power to enforce restrictions.

Justice M Khanvilkhar handed the ruling on  a petition filed by private schools from Rajasthan seeking to question state government's authority in regulating fees there.
