Thiruvalla : The prime accused in stabbing death of Peringara Local Secretary PB Sandeep Kumar(36) is Yuva Morcha President - an idenitity the media and RSS seek to conceal in their attempt to portray the murder as personal revenge. Jishnu's Facebook account is replete with posts speaking loud of his political orientation.
On FB, Jishnu’s identifies himself as “Yuva Morch Peringara Panchayat Committee Member”. Also found on his page are pictures of him participating in various BJP events and pictures of the party leaders. Circulating on social media are also pictures of him walking out of jail and one posed with BJP leader Sandap Warrier. All this are pushed under wraps by Malayalam media in their apparent face-saving endeavour for BJP.
Jishnu has served jail on drug charges and in case relating to police station march in Adoor. He has cases pending across four police stations.
Four assailants have been nabbed in the case – Jishnu, Pramod, Nadu and Kannur native Faisi, all with history of multiple criminal cases against them. Jishnu got to know Faisil during his time in jail and is believed to have fetched him over to perpetrate the murder.
Sandeep was on way home riding bike around 8.30 last night, when 5 men on two bikes accosted him midway. Sandeep fell over and as he was trying to get up, the attackers stabbed him in the chest and back using knives. Sandeep also sustained hacks to his hand and legs. By the time, locals rushed to screams from the scene, the assailants had already fled. Sandeep was rushed to the hospital, but succumbed to his injuries. The body shifted to hospital morgue was autopsied Friday morning.
Incidentally, Peringanra, where the RSS orchestrated the murder is a locality with hardly any political conflict.
Sandeep played crucial role in restoring Peringara seat to CPI(M) after a gap of 27 years. Several BJP workers had joined CPI(M) in the locality. According to eye witness in the case, five-member gang that includes RSS worker Kannaprambil Jishnu took part in the stabbing.
Sandeep is son of Puthanparambil Balan. Wife-: Sunita; Mother – Omana; Children – Nihal(3-and-half years) and 3-month-old baby daughter.
