Thiruvananthapuram : The Higher Secondary and Vocational Higher Secondary exam results have been declared. The pass percentage for Plus II std is 82.95%, slightly lower that 83.87 percent of last year.
A total of 4,32,436 students have passed their exam, of whom, 3,12,005 have cleared out.
33815 candidate secure full A+. The results were announced by Minister for Public Education, V. Sivankutty at 3 pm. Ernakulam recoded the highest pass percentage - 87.55% and lowest figure came from Pathanamthitta - 76.59%. SE exam will be conducted from 21 st of June.
77 schools recorded cent percent pass - 8 being govt schools, 25 aided, 32 unaided and 12 from Special category. The pass percentage for government school is 79.19%. It is 86.31% at aided schools and 82.70% in unaided schools and 68.71 in technical schools. The streamwise split is : 78.76% for science group; 71.93 percent in humanities and 77.76% for commerce.
Total number of students who wrote the exam -4,32,436 of which 2,14,379 are male and 2,18,057 females; 1,93,544 came from the Humanities Stream, 2,18,057 from Science, 74,482 from Commerce, 10,81,09 from Technical and 64 from Arts.
