Thiruvananthapuram : The Opposition is using Question Hour for opportunity to slander the government, pitching false accusations, said Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan in the Assembly Friday morning.

Members of the Oppn. got into the well of the House with placards opposing K-Rail.  With ruckus escalating, the Assembly was temporarily adjourned. People wish for K-Rail to be vehemently opposed for; It is hard to go along with the House proceedings, said Oppn Leader VD Satheesan, adding that the protest is set to escalate and continue until the govt. gives up on the plan.

The Speaker had tried to restore calm saying, this kind of demonstration is exceptional during the Question Hour. The topic shall be considered during zero hour. The Oppn. however was relentless and walked out.

This is the first time a Opposition leader conducts speech calling to boycott an Assembly session, said Minister P. Rajeev.  The Oppn is causing problems deliberately; It is not that they are unwware of facts on Madapally, said Minister Saji Cherian

Madanpally incident : While Oppn claims police excess, crowds in Madanpally were triggered by Congress  into conducting  protests by holding kerosene-filled bottles and threatening suicide. The situation got volatile with some springing up kerosene up in the air and peaple around disbersing away momentarily.
