Kochi : In a landmark judgment Monday, the Kerala High Court ruled that medical graduates from abroad with eligibility for practice don’t need another internship in state.
The verdict came over petition filed by Manacaud native Sadiya Siyad, challenging the Medical Council’s refusal to grant permanent registration for practice in the state.
In the ruling delivered by Justice PB Suresh Kumar, the court ordered the Medical Council to give permanent registration against the application without insisting on Compulsory Rotatary Residential Internship (CRRI).
