Changanassery : A Changanassery native appears to have emulated Drishyam model murder, burying body of his friend - Aluva native Bindukumar(43) - in the backyard of his home and layering it with concrete.
The victim, Bindukumar, failed to retun home on 26th August and his family lodged a man missing complaint with Ernakulam North police station. While police carried out investigations a bike belonging to the missing man was found submerged in a stream in the Kottarthilkadav area. The finding was a breakthrough and led to suspicions that the Changassery native had murdered Bindhukumar and buried the body somewhere around his home.
The body was found buried in a plot adjoining the suspect’s backyard. Bindhukumar was found buried and a sheet of concrete poured on top that would prevent decomposing smell spilling out and also conceal the crime. Police now await forensic results, including DNA for identification, to make further move.
