The Thiruvananthapuram District Labor officer told a private fact checking agency “We conducted a probe into the incident. No workers’ unions of CITU, BMAS, or INTUC were present for protest in the area. The protesters were largely locals in the area. They had loosely organised a group under the aegis of sabha there. Even the Thumbha police have confirmed that there were no protesters at the site other than people from the neighbourhood.”
