Kozhikode : The president of Samastha Kerala Jamiat-ul-Ulma, Jifri Muthukoya Thangal,  opposed call for protest in mosques over assignment of Waqf postings to PSC.  Samastha cannot support making  mosques the venue for protests or controversies, said Muthukoya Thangal.

Samastha too is discontented with the decision of assigning Waqf appointments  to Public Staff Commission. Even so, the Chief Minister has informed of holding  talks in this regard. We shall speak with CM and convey our anxieties. If the outcome is not favourable, we shall then go ahead with protests.

Samastha does not want  to be blamed  for any conflict the protests inside mosques might cause. That’s something Samastha does not wish happening, which is also  why it opposes the idea of mosque protests, said  Jifri Muthukoya Thangal while inaugurating Waqf Muthuvally Meet at Town Hall on Thursday.
