‘New Kerala’s Victory Seals’: Government Showcases Historic Achievements

Thiruvananthapuram: As the Left Democratic Front government completes a remarkable nine years in office, the state has released a comprehensive 108-page booklet titled ‘Victory Seals of New Kerala’, proudly detailing the transformative strides achieved under its leadership. A special notice has also been issued marking the four-year milestone of the second Pinarayi Vijayan-led government.
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, in the foreword, underlined that Kerala is moving ahead confidently, building upon its rich legacy of progress. “We are preparing to rise to greater heights in this era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, grounded in the achievements we have collectively secured so far,” he stated.
The booklet highlights Kerala PSC’s unparalleled performance in the country, having created around 30,000 posts at a time when lakhs of positions remain vacant in central services and public sector undertakings. No other state can match Kerala’s proactive approach in ensuring employment opportunities for its youth.
The government has set a historic goal — by November 1, 2025, Kerala will become a state free from extreme poverty. Comprehensive local-level projects are being implemented through local self-government bodies to achieve this milestone. Over the past eight years, the state has spent over 14,000 crore through sustained market interventions to control inflation and protect the public from price hikes.
Out of the 886 targeted health institutions, 683 have already been upgraded into modern Family Health Centres, reinforcing Kerala’s reputation as a model in public healthcare. The Karunya Health Insurance Scheme continues to be a lifeline, benefitting over 42 lakh families.
Through the LIFE Mission, the government has transformed housing for marginalised communities. Since assuming office, 50,830 homes for Scheduled Castes and 19,739 for Scheduled Tribes have been completed. In total, the government has built1,12,383 homes for SCs and 42,591 for STs in just eight and a half years — a monumental achievement in ensuring housing for all.
