Actress Ansiba Hassan to Record Statement Against Actor Tini Tom Tomorrow

Kochi: Actress Ansiba Hassan will appear before the Kadavanthra police on Tuesday to record her statement in connection with her complaint against actor and former AMMA office-bearer Tini Tom. She had been asked to appear on Monday, but the proceedings were rescheduled to Tuesday due to her prior commitments.
Ansiba had filed a complaint at Kadavanthra police station on June 1, alleging anti-democratic conduct and targeted harassment within the film industry's actors' association AMMA. In her complaint, she accused Tini Tom of orchestrating a sustained defamation campaign against her, including the deliberate spread of false and communally charged rumours — among them a claim that she had attempted to convert Tini Tom's driver to another religion. She alleged that these fabricated narratives were used to systematically harass both her and her family, causing severe psychological distress. The complaint also described his conduct as deeply demeaning to her dignity as a woman.
Following the controversy, Ansiba resigned from her position as Joint Secretary of AMMA. While AMMA president Shweta Menon attributed the resignation to personal reasons, Ansiba subsequently made clear that it was the relentless harassment and mental torture from Tini Tom that had compelled her to step down.
