Russian Fitness Trainer Dmitry Nuyanzin Dies in Sleep After Extreme Weight-Gain Experiment

Orenburg: A Russian fitness trainer and influencer died in his sleep while attempting to gain weight as part of a plan to later promote his own weight-loss program. The deceased, 30-year-old Dmitry Nuyanzin, was a resident of Orenburg, Russia. He had planned to gain nearly 25 kilograms and then shed the weight through exercise to inspire his clients.
As part of this “marathon” challenge, he had been consuming excessive amounts of junk food for several weeks. According to reports, he was eating over 10,000 calories a day. His meals included cakes and pastries for breakfast, dumplings with mayonnaise for lunch, and burgers and pizza for dinner. In his last Instagram post on November 18, he revealed that he had reached 105 kilograms, having gained 13 kilograms in one month.
The day before his death, Nuyanzin reportedly felt unwell and cancelled his training sessions. He told friends that he was not feeling good and was planning to visit a doctor. However, he died the same day in his sleep, reportedly due to a heart attack.
Nuyanzin, a graduate of the National Fitness University in St. Petersburg and the Orenburg Olympic Reserve School, had been working as an elite trainer for ten years. His death has stirred grief across social media, with many saying the incident serves as a warning against such dangerous experiments.
